Overview

Baitboats respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect

  • Order details: your name, email, phone, shipping and billing address, collected through Stripe Checkout when you place an order.
  • Enquiries: your name, email, and message when you use the contact form.
  • Site usage: standard analytics (anonymous pageviews, device type, referrer) collected through our analytics provider.
  • Cart contents: stored locally in your browser only. Never sent to our server until you check out.

What we do NOT collect

We do not store your credit card details. Card numbers go straight from your browser to Stripe, who is PCI-DSS compliant. Stripe shares only a payment reference with us, never the card itself.

How we use your information

  • Fulfilling and shipping your order.
  • Sending order confirmations, shipping notifications, and warranty correspondence.
  • Responding to enquiries you send us.
  • Understanding how the site is used so we can improve it.

Who we share information with

We share the minimum necessary information with:

  • Stripe, for payment processing.
  • The courier delivering your order, for shipping and tracking.
  • Resend, our transactional email provider, for sending you order confirmations.
  • Cloudflare, our hosting provider, for serving this website.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with marketers.

How long we keep it

Order records are retained for at least 7 years to meet Australian tax and consumer law obligations. Enquiry emails are kept while they remain useful for customer support, then deleted.

Your rights

You can request access to or correction of the personal information we hold about you by emailing info@baitboats.com.au. You can also ask us to delete information that we are not legally required to retain.

Cookies

This site uses cookies and similar technologies for cart functionality and basic analytics. You can clear or block cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies will break the cart but the rest of the site will still work.
